ANOTHER TGB FAMILY LAWYER GAINS SPECIALIST ACCREDITATION
Tindall Gask Bentley proudly announces that Wendy Barry, an experienced family lawyer in TGB’s family law team, has been conferred as an Accredited Family Law Specialist. Managing partner of TGB, Morry Bailes, said that with Wendy's accreditation the number of accredited specialists in the family law section has increased to 3. John Swift, who was the first accredited specialist in family law in South Australia, and Jane Miller, who became accredited 4 years ago, are the others.
"Of the approximately 15 family law accredited specialists practising in South Australia 3 of them come from TGB and whilst it is good news for our firm which undertakes to train its staff to the highest levels possible it is even greater news for people looking for providers of a quality legal service," said Mr Bailes.
For years consumers have had the opportunity to select service providers and tradespeople based on their accreditation and affiliations. These hallmarks of quality now extend to providers of legal services. The process of accreditation is conducted through the Law Society of South Australia and in conjunction with the Law Institute of Victoria.
It is rigorous and includes the requirement that the specialist has practised in family law for at least 5 years, submits a portfolio of work of a standard commensurate with the expectation of a specialist, completes a mock advice file (including a letter of advice and pleadings to commence a mock action), passes an exam and a mock interview process.
