It is at distressing times, like when a relationship breaks down, that a caring approach and personalised service really count. That is what our team of experienced family lawyers is all about, and this is why we have grown to be the largest family law firm in South Australia.
Our lawyers do all that they can to make the legal aspects of family breakdown as straightforward as possible. They take the time to listen and to understand. They give sensible and realistic advice.
Our approach is to try to resolve family law disputes quickly and cost effectively. Often the parties to a relationship breakdown have to continue to communicate, especially when children are involved. Our aim is to minimise the damage to that ongoing communication.
Some disputes can't be easily sorted out. In those cases we have the skills and experience to take the matter to court and to advocate strongly on your behalf.
TGB's Jane Miller, Wendy Barry and Peter Heuzenroeder are three of a small number of Accredited Family Law Specialists practising in South Australia. They can provide specialist legal advice that is certified by the Law Society of South Australia.
The process of gaining accreditation as a Family Law Specialist is rigorous and includes
the requirement that the specialist has practised in family law for at least 5 years, submits a portfolio of work of a standard commensurate with the expectation of a specialist, completes a mock advice file (including a letter of advice and pleadings to commence a mock action), passes an exam and a mock interview process.

Peter Heuzenroeder is an Accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and Nationally Accredited Mediator. He is available to assist parties and their lawyers resolve disputes to achieve optimal outcomes without going to court.
At times of relationship breakdown it is also important to think about rewriting your Will and perhaps preparing a Power of Attorney and / or an Enduring Guardian.
