Not
surprisingly this is the question we get asked the most.
And it is the hardest one to answer - because it is often
almost impossible at the beginning of a matter to accurately
estimate what the final cost will be.
Personal
injury matters
We
can tell you that, if you have been injured (for example
in a car accident or at work), we usually will not charge
you anything until you have received your compensation.
If your claim is successful we recover some of your costs
and legal fees from the insurance company that pays the
compensation. We then deduct the rest of our fees from your
compensation money before we pass it on to you.
Other
matters
In
other matters we recommend that you discuss costs with your
solicitor. Your solicitor is going to be best placed to
explain the likely fees in your particular circumstances.
And don't hesitate to ask. We understand this is an important
issue for you and are always happy to talk about it.
Sending
bills
Where
we are charging you for work as we do it, we try to send
bills regularly (usually monthly). This helps with your
cash flow - and ours. Our accounts are payable within 14
days.
Out
of pocket expenses
In
addition to our legal fees we charge separately for the
following costs if they are incurred on your behalf
- Document
production and reproduction
- Facsimile
Fees
- Filing
and Lodgement Fees
- Banking

- All
Government revenue charges (including stamp duty)
- Postage
and courier fees
- Process

- Experts
and external consultants
