You
may have income protection under a superannuation policy
or under a private policy you have taken out yourself.
If
you have not been able to return to work due to an injury
and it is unlikely that you will be able to return to work
in the near future, you may have a claim for income protection
under the relevant policy.
We
specialise in and have experience in assisting people who
are in dispute with an insurer over their income protection
policy.
Your
policy will contain the definitions that you must fulfill
to be paid under the policy. Income protection policies
have different definitions so your policy must be read carefully
to determine if you fulfill the requirements.
If
you have lodged a claim and it has been denied you can dispute
that decision. It may be possible to dispute that decision
by applying to the Financial Industry Complaints Service
Tribunal or to a Court.
Time
limits apply with lodging a dispute we can advise you further
about that.
We
provide advice that is in your best interest.
